The Fegentri World Championship Final for Gentlemen Riders was organized by Maienfeld in Switzerland yesterday. It was a historical date: 10.10.2010.
It was a beautiful sunny day with a big crowd of visitors at the racecourse – just worth a World Championship.

Florent Guy from France was breaking the record by riding 11 winners in the Fegentri World Championship series in 2010 (3 over jumps, including the big steeple chase Prix Marechal Foch in Auteuil and two steeple chase races in Germany – Mannheim and Bremen – with the same horse “Alanco”). His eight winners on the flat were ridden in Belgium, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden (2 wins), USA, and Maienfeld.
Never before has any Fegentri rider ridden that number of winners nor has any received as many points in one year as Florent did: 314 points in 2010.

Last year he was runner-up to the German rider Marian Falk Weissmeier who was announced as the youngest (17 years old) Fegentri World Champion in Fegentri history.

Congratulation to Florent Guy!

But congratulation also to Paul Power from Ireland and to his Club as a runner-up with 111 points in total.

The third and fourth in the ranking, Harry Challoner (Great Britain) and Marian Falk Weissmeier (Germany) turned professional this year and did not participate for the rest of the series anymore.

On the last day of the World Championship series Patrick Deno from Belgium finished second and is sharing the fifth place with Kjetil Kjaer from Norway who participated in Fegentri races in 2010 for the first time.
